Financial Commitment


Sporting City’s philosophy is to keep the cost to our players and parents at a minimum while also providing the very best youth soccer experience. We work hard to cut down the costs of club fees to our club members. A player's club fees include coaching fees, operating/administrative costs, Heartland League Fees (Fall & Spring), Practice Field Rental (All Turf Locations), PlayMetrics**, Player/Coach/Manager registration and carding fees, & Tournaments*. All fees are to be paid by players regardless of participation in individual seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring).


*Tournament amount are dependent on team and age.


Payment and Refund Policy Rationale


The success of our club teams is dependent on the players who make up each team and their commitment to the program. Accordingly, we expect that all players and parents will follow through with their commitment by completing all required paperwork, attending team meetings and team practices, paying all fees promptly, and attending all league games and tournaments. Because player withdrawals from a roster impacts the stability of a team, our refund policy regarding league/tournament teams is firm.


All acceptance fees paid are non-refundable.


Program Payment and Refund Policy


After rosters spots have been accepted for our programs, requests for release will only be granted for the reasons listed below. Portions of fees attributable to tournaments will not be included if those tournaments have already occurred or if costs associated with attending those tournaments have already been incurred. Extreme hardship cases may be considered by the Director of Coaching. 


With all registrations, we have a full-year commitment.


Additional Program Play Information


  • Players will not be released from Sporting City unless all club fees are paid in full and team fees are up to date at the time of their request.
  • Players with a season-ending injury may be eligible for a refund, with the amount to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Players moving more than 50 miles from their training location during the season are eligible for a refund, with the amount to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Requests for releases or refunds must be presented in writing via email to the Director of Coaching.


Payment Options and Schedule


Payment for club fees will be offered to our programs in the following ways:


  • One-time payment in full
  • Four installment payments
  • Ten installment payments


If a payment plan is chosen, parents will be enrolled in an automatic recurring billing (ARB) that occurs on the 1st of every month, starting in July.


Payment Policies


Payment policies will be strictly enforced. Families can check their balance by logging into their PlayMetrics account. The primary way to pay for club fees is through your account, via a credit card. The club accepts Visa/Mastercard and American Express.


Unpaid Fees


Players with fees that are past due (+10 days) and have not established a payment plan or requested financial aid by the due date will be placed in bad standing until their financial obligation has been resolved. There is a non-refundable $20 late fee after each installment not paid. A player in bad standing will not be rostered, issued a player card, or participate in practices and/or games. We ask families to communicate directly with us promptly to work out any financial issues. We do not want to be put in a position to not allow a player to play. 


*The Unpaid Fee Policy includes both Club Fees and Team Fees.


What is not covered in Club Fees:

  • PlayMetrics processing fees (per order)
  • Late fees
  • Camps or Clinics
  • Any additional tournaments not specified in your Club Fees. 
  • Lodging, meals and/or other expenses for travel of players, parents, and family members
  • Coaches travel expenses for out of town tournaments


What will not be considered for a refund:

  • PlayMetrics processing fees (per order)
  • Donations
  • Uniforms
  • Acceptance Fee
  • Any expenses tied to expired tournaments, leagues, field rentals, events or fees.
